DSR at the CSA Member Meeting in Berlin
November 3rd, 2026
From developing Zigbee technology to building with Matter, DSR took the next step at the CSA Member Meeting, October 26–29 in Berlin, demonstrating Matter running on top of OneNR+, our software stack for DECT NR+ wireless connectivity!
Vladimir Stepanchenko, IoT Business Unit Manager at DSR:
"In the CSA community, many people call us ‘the Zigbee people’.
And there’s a good reason for that. Our ZBOSS stack runs on chips from quite a few silicon vendors, so there’s a good chance it’s running somewhere in your home right now. With our work in Matter and now DECT NR+, along with other connectivity technologies, we’re showing that our expertise extends far beyond Zigbee."

Over the years, our work has expanded from Zigbee into Matter controllers, bridges, and new ways of connecting devices. OneNR+ represents the next step in that evolution.
DECT NR+ is the first non-cellular 5G standard. It enables networks without a mobile operator or SIM card, combining low latency, self-healing mesh networking, and support for large numbers of devices.
Working closely with Legrand, we used their reference-design devices to demonstrate Matter running on top of our OneNR+ stack. Visitors saw these devices communicate with off-the-shelf Matter devices.
As Vladimir puts it: “No adapters and no magic tricks, just real interop.”
The meeting also marked a new chapter for ZOI, now known as 'Zone of IoT'. Originally launched as the 'ZBOSS Open Initiative', ZOI has expanded to include OneNR+, gateway software, the DSR Matter Controller, and the X-to-Matter Bridge.
Thank you to everyone who stopped by, asked questions, and explored these developments with us!
